San Angelo Man Arrested for Brutally Assaulting His Father

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Police Department Officers arrested a 40-year-old man Sunday after he threw a can hitting his elderly father. 

According to court documents, on Jan. 10, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the 1000 block of E 40th for the report of a domestic disturbance. 

When officers arrived they spoke with John Rubio Valdez, 40, who told officers that he had thrown a can at his father and hit him in the back of the head.

Officers then met with the victim who had a one inch cut on the back of his head, Officers stated in the documents that the cut needed stitches.

Valdez was then arrested and charged with assault to an elderly person by causing intentional bodily injury. He also had four other warrants. 

He was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Jan. 10 and was released two days later on a $10,000 bond.
