WATCH: Wanted Fugitive Arrested After Crashing Into House

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Tom Green County Sheriff's office and the San Angelo Police Department conducted a joint investigation that led to the apprehension of 45-year-old Adalberto Vega Rios Friday afternoon.

Rios was wanted for a parole violation and evading arrest and detention with a vehicle along with other suspected criminal activities.

According to the TGCSO, deputies and police officers located Rios while conducting surveillance. As deputies attempted to stop him, the suspect fled in a vehicle.

Deputies pursued Rios until he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a structure in the 500 block of West 17th. Rios exited the car and fled the scene on foot. He was apprehended after a brief foot chase.

The suspect was taken to the hospital for evaluation following the pursuit.   

The investigation into the criminal activities of Rios is still ongoing and additional charges are expected.
