ABILENE, TX – An employee with Abilene ISD was arrested Thursday after he was reported to authorities by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for possession lewd images of children.
According to KTXS, on Oct. 22, officers with the Abilene Police Department's Cyber Crime Unit were alerted of a possible child predator by the NCMEC.
The NCMEC claimed that Jacob Escobedo had multiple nude images of children.
Officers with the APD went to Escobedo's home on Oct. 27 and seized 2 cell phones, a laptop, an SD card from a camera, and an external hard drive.
At least one image was found in his possession. The affidavit states it was a small girl "laying down on her back, on a bed, with only a shirt on." The description continued but is too graphic for San Angelo LIVE's audience.
He was arrested and booked into the Taylor County Jail for possession of child pornography with intent to promote.
He was also fired from his AISD maintenance job following his arrest.
If convicted Jacob Escobedo will face a sentence of 2 to 10 years and 10,000 dollar fine.
