Kentucky Murder Suspect Captured in Abilene Monday

 

ABILENE, TX – A fugitive suspect wanted with connection to a Hopkinsville, TN murder was captured in Abilene on Monday by authorities with the Taylor County Sheriff's office along with the assistance of the state of Texas Department of Public Safety.

Reports indicate that 24-year-old Anthony Manning, was arrested at a residence off Westmoreland Street sometime Monday afternoon, and is now being held in the Taylor County Jail without bond on a Fugitive of Justice charge. 

Originally, it was reported that Manning is currently wanted for complicity to murder and complicity to robbery in the first degree related to the homicide of Calvin Taylor on Oct. 12, 2020.

Documents obtained by San Angelo LIVE! state that during the investigation authorities arrested Larayna Manning (formerly Perez), 47, on charges of complicity to murder and complicity to robbery in the first degree as well.

According to the report, both the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted in the apprehension of Anthony Manning in Abilene on Monday afternoon.
