Serial Credit Card Abuse Suspect Jailed with Hefty Bond

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Officers with the San Angelo Police Department arrested 35-year-old Bianca Valencia on Saturday, Oct. 24, for the charge of Credit or Debit Card Abuse, after she was positively identified during a fraud investigation that eventually linked her to multiple vehicle burglaries from last month.

According to the report, Valencia's charge of credit or debit card abuse came after it was discovered she had broken into multiple vehicles back in September, stolen several credit and debit cards, and then recently used the cards to purchase various items from multiple area Wal-Mart locations. 

Documents obtained by San Angelo LIVE! state that on September 20, 2020 Valencia had used a Discover credit card to fraudulently obtain merchandise at the Wal-Mart located off South Bryant Blvd., with knowledge that said card was not used with the effective consent of the cardholder.

Then on Sept. 28, 2020, Valencia was found to be using a stolen Crockett National Bank debit card to fraudulently obtain merchandise at the Wal-Mart located off South Bryant Blvd., with knowledge that said card was not used with the effective consent of the cardholder.

With combined statements from the victims, the defendant's admission along with surveillance footage and other findings facts have shown the defendant, identified as Bianca Valencia, has fraudulently used stolen credit and debit cards to purchase items without the effective consent from the card or account holders.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 at 5:52 p.m Valencia was arrested by authorities with the SAPD, where she booked into the Tom Green County Jail for the charge of Credit or Debit Card Abuse, a state jail felony, and held on $150,000.00 in bond.
