RANGER, TX -- Officers with the Ranger Police Department have confirmed the arrest of a suspect accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a female victim.
According to RPD, on Thursday officers arrested Jose (Joseph) A. Ballesteros.
Ballesteros faces the following charges:
- Aggravated Kidnapping
- Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon
- Aggravated Sexual Assault and Deadly Conduct
When Ballesteros was arrested he was accompanied by a male. He was identified as Cody Hickman and arrested on a warrant for Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon.
While being booked into jail, officers located large amounts of methamphetamine in Hickman's possession and the subsequent charge was added.
The cases have been turned over to the Eastland County Criminal District Attorneys Office for prosecution.
