Yahoo! Tips Police About Email Used to Send Lewd Images of Children

ABILENE, TX – The Abilene Police Department arrested a 44-year-old man on Friday after Yahoo! gave a tip regarding possible distribution of child pornography.

According to KTXS, on October 2, officers with the Abilene Police Department served an arrest warrant on 44-year-old Oscar Thomas Weeks II for possession of child pornography.

The warrant was issued after Yahoo! contacted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an email address that was used for distributing child pornography.

Yahoo! claimed that the Week's email was used to send a gif of a 4-6 year old girl being sexually assaulted. Following the search of the home authorities found a large amount of pornography with images including infants.

The images were found on a Week's iPhone 7s plus, laptop and tablet.
