San Angelo Man Arrested for Inappropriately Touching Young Girl

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department arrested a 21-year-old man Friday after he allegedly sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl.

According to court documents, on Sept. 13, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were called to the home of an 11-year-old girl who said she was sexually assaulted.

When they arrived, the officers spoke with the victim who stated she had been touched in her private area at the home of Michael Rodriguez, 21, near Fort Concho.

Officers then went to 900 block of S. Oakes and spoke with Rodriguez.

When asked about the incident Rodriguez admitted to knowing the child. He also told police that on September 10 he touched her inappropriately in the bedroom of his home.

Rodriguez was then arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. He remains in the Tom Green County Jail in lieu of a $150,000 bond. If released he can have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
