Police: 62-Year-Old Woman Drowns In Lake Brownwood

 

LAKE BROWNWOOD, TX — The Lubbock Police Department has confirmed the death of a 62-year-old woman after she drowned at Lake Brownwood.

According to the police department, the woman owns a house at the lake and went swimming on Saturday.

According to Lake Patrol Chief Troy Henderson, the woman, who has not been identified, was sitting in a life jacket.

According to family members they located the life jacket in the water at Minton's Draw, near the state park. The victim was still in the life jacket when they located her body.
