Suspect Arrested In Connection to Deadly Shooting

ODESSA, TX — The Ector County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that took place on Tuesday night in Gardendale.

According to the sheriff’s office, shortly before 8:00 p.m. deputies were dispatched for calls regarding a gunshot victim.

Upon arriving at the scene deputies found Jesus Efren Todakee with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Medical Center Hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

On Wednesday night deputies arrested and charged Roberto Carlos Melendez in connection to the murder.
