Teens Indicted After Shooting at Driver

ABILENE, TX— A Taylor County grand jury has indicted two teenagers accused of aggravated assault.

According to KTXS, the two suspects were identified as 17-year-old Thor Joseph Portier and 19-year-old Aydan Vincent Potts.

According to court records, on April 25 Potts cut off a female driver. The victim, identified as Lechelle Lowery, was forced to slam on her breaks and narrowly avoid causing a wreck.

Lowery then honked at the vehicle and the passenger, identified as Portier, fired his gun at her.

The duo continued driving and Lowery called 9-1-1 to report the incident. She then followed the driver, Potts, in order to provide dispatch with more information.

Potts then began driving erratically and Portier then fired a second shot.

Potts was eventually stopped by police. Upon searching the vehicle officers located several guns inside, including a .410 shotgun that had been reported stolen and smelled as if it had been recently fired.

Both Potts and Portier denied shooting at Lowery.
