SAPD Officers Find Stolen Gun in Wanted Man's Underwear

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Officers with the SAPD recovered a stolen gun in a wanted suspects underwear on Friday. 

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on July 17, officers with the San Angelo Police Department spotted a known wanted suspect standing outside of a vehicle near the corner of Caddo and North Park. 

After confirming the suspects identity as Stevandre West, 19, who was wanted for RPR Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces, RPR possession of a penalty group 3 controlled substance under three grams, and seven other miscellaneous warrants. 

During a search incident to arrest, officers located a handgun inside West’s underwear. The handgun was recently reported stolen from a residence in Southland.

He was ultimately charged with theft of a firearm. He is currently in the Tom Green County Jail with a $11,500 bond.
