ABILENE, TX — A suspect involved in a wild chase has been indicted on 11 counts by a Taylor County grand jury.
According to KTXS, 31-year-old Larry Vega Garcia led police on a chase on April 30. Authorities had attempted to stop him on a felony warrant.
During the course of the chase, Garcia crashed into a vehicle on Lillius Street, injuring the driver, his wife, and three kids.
Garcia then crashed into the house and then took off running with a gun in one hand and a brown, Louis Vuitton bag in the other. Garcia was eventually tackled by an officer.
The search of the designer bag revealed 38.21 grams of methylenedioxymethamphetamine or MDMA, 1.15 grams of methamphetamine. .81 grams of Heroin, digital scales, small plastic baggies, $736 in cash, and a gun in the bag. A third firearm was found in the truck.
Garcia was indicted on the following charges:
- possession of 3,4 methylenedioxymethamphetamine with intent to deliver,
- possession of 3,4 methylenedioxymethamphetamine
- aggravated assault
- aggravated assault
- aggravated assault
- possession of methamphetamine
- unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon
- unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon
- unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon
- evading arrest
- possession of heroin.
