20-Year-Old Accused of Shooting Roommate

 

DENTON, TX – Authorities have arrested Kashanmustafa Ali in connection to the deadly shooting of his roommate on Saturday night.

According to NBC5, officers responded to an apartment complex in the 200 block of S. Bonnie Brae Street in Denton before 11:00 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a man with a gunshot wound.

The victim was treated at a local hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not been released at the moment.

According to Denton PD, Ali was interviewed as a witness Saturday night and gave false information about the “suspect” that had shot his roommate.

On Sunday, police obtained an arrest warrant for the 20-year-old and he is now facing a manslaughter charge.
