Missing 14-Year-Old Found Safe in Kentucky

 

GRAND SALINE, TX — The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed missing 14-year-old Willow Sirmans has been found safe.

According to KLTV, after Courtney Odum was included as a person of interest in the AMBER Alert issued for Willow, authorities were able to locate her. 

Odum was questioned by FBI Special Agents who were able to confirm the suspect, Austen Walker, and Willow were staying in a residence in Louisville, KY. This information allowed authorities to recover Willow. Walker and Odum are both in custody.

Willow was originally reported missing on Tuesday around 2:00 p.m. and the Grand Saline Police Department and the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office followed leads to her possible location.

By Wednesday, the sheriff’s office requested state and federal assistance, and an AMBER Alert was issued.

Earlier today a felony warrant for kidnapping was issued for Austen Walker.

Over 15 agencies worked together to investigate the disappearance and kidnapping of Willow.
