FBI Takes Over Search For Fugitive Airman

 

ABILENE, TX – The FBI has taken over the investigation in the search for fugitive United States Air Force airman Erland Injerd. Injerd made headlines after he assaulted Dyess Air Force Base personnel who were at his home and escaped off base.

According to reports, Injerd barricaded himself inside his on-base home. Before security forces could enter the home the suspect kicked in a window and escaped out of the south side of the base and into a wooded area.

Injerd is a 5’8” white male with short / saved brown hair. He was last seen wearing a long sleeve black shirt with blue jeans. Anyone who spots Injerd is asked to call 9-1-1.

According to KTXS, Dyess Air Force Base has increased security until Injerd is caught.
