SAPD: Search of Subject Leads Officer to Meth, Scale, and Baggies

SAN ANGELO, TX – An officer with San Angelo Police Department was dispatched to 614 W 29th St on Friday for the report of an unwanted subject. When the officer arrived on scene he made contact with a female individual who appeared very anxious, and upon requesting her information the female provided the officer with a false name and date of birth.

After successfully identifying the female subject as 38 year old Sandra Hernandez the officer was able to determine Hernandez had an active parole warrant and an additional six capias city warrants.

A search of Hernandez yielded between 4-200 grams of methamphetamine, several baggies, as well as a digital scale. Hernandez was later arrested and booked on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver which is a second degree felony in the state of Texas that carries a penalty of 2-10 years and a fine up to $10,000.00.
