Suspect Charged With Murder of 17-Year-Old Girl

ODESSA, TX – Odessa Police arrested and charged 17-year-old Chaviya Dewayne Crosby with the murder of a 17-year-old girl on Friday night.

According to CBS7, on Friday night authorities responded to 920 West University for a medical call. When officers arrived to the scene, they located a deceased female with a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Jasmine Lozano of Odessa.

During their investigation authorities discovered Crosby and Lozano got into an argument and then suspect shot Lozano. Crosby fled the scene before officers arrived and disposed of the firearm

Crosby was charged with murder, a first-degree felony, and tampering with physical evidence, a third degree felony.
