SAPD Responds to Numerous Declaration Violations Wednesday

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department issued a notice Wednesday reminding people to comply with the Coronavirus Disaster Declaration.

The following is a release from the San Angelo Police Department:

Reminder - Hair salons, nail salons, and tattoo parlors were required to close today by 8 a.m. So far we have responded to 8 reported violations.

We are asking for voluntary compliance of San Angelo’s Declaration of Disaster to help reduce the risk of exposure to our citizens. The City of San Angelo Health Department has confirmed a second positive case of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Tom Green County.

Please stay at home in order to prevent the spread of the disease — and make life easier for the first responders, doctors and nurses and other public servants whose jobs require contact with the public as well as Coronavirus patients.

We know these are challenging times but now is the time for everyone to unite and do our part to protect public health in our community. We all have a role to play. We are all in this together.
