Christoval Man Indicted for Assaulting a Minor

 

CHRISTOVAL, TX – A Tom Green County Grand Jury has indicted a Christoval man on the charge of injuring a child with the intent to cause bodily injury.

According to court documents, on the evening of June 3rd, 2019 Timothy Brooks and his girlfriend of five years began to argue in the family's kitchen area. As the argument escalated Brooks then shoved his girlfriend aside, and in a drunken rage went after her 13 year old son.

The altercation began when Brooks was said to have grabbed the victim by the throat with one hand, threw him to the ground, and began choking him forcibly with both hands nearly causing him to pass out until the girlfriend was able to push Brooks off.

In reprisal Brooks then used his arm to knock a few items off of the kitchen table where a " large wooden candle" struck the victim once more.

Timothy Randall Brooks has been charged with Injury to a Child with Intent to Cause Bodily Injury, this is a Third Degree Felony which includes imprisonment between 2 - 10 years, and carries fines up to $10,000.00.
