Texas Rangers Called in After a Police Officer was Shot

 

MIDLAND, TX – The Texas Rangers have been called into Midland today after an officer was shot and hospitalized. 

According to CBS 7, on February 6, officers with the Midland Police Department were dispatched to the 3000 block of W. Illinois for the report of a disturbance. 

While investigating the call an officer was shot by the suspect in the leg. He was rushed to the ER and has since been treated for non-life threatening injuries. 

MPD has confirmed that the suspect was not injured and is in custody.
