SAPD Drug Bust Yields Two Pounds of Meth and Multiple Guns

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The SAPD Street Crimes Division seized two pounds of meth and a number of guns Wednesday during a search warrant at a local hotel. 

According to the SAPD, On January 22, 2020, Investigators with the Department’s Street Crimes Division conducted Search Warrant operations at the Super 8 by Wyndham on West Avenue L and the Wingate by Wyndham on South Jackson Street.

Several subjects were detained during the respective searches, which led to the seizure of just under two (2) pounds of suspected Methamphetamine, a quantity of suspected Heroin, marijuana, U.S. currency, three (3) firearms (one of which was confirmed as stolen out of Brownwood), and two (2) stolen vehicles from San Angelo and Austin, Texas.

Federal Conspiracy charges are pending the outcome of this ongoing investigation.

Members of the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, Patrol Division, K9 Unit, and the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted with yesterday’s operations.
