Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Seizure North of San Angelo

 

QUAIL VALLEY, TX – A 47-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after he was caught with more than five grams of methamphetamine. 

According to the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, on January 15, deputies with the TGCSO were running traffic on the 7400 block of Rust Road when they saw a vehicle that had made a traffic violation. 

The deputy pulled the driver over and identified him as 47-year-old Jonathan Allen. After learning this, the deputy asked Allen if he could search the vehicle. 

After receiving permission, the deputy discovered 5.51 grams of meth. 

He was arrested and charged ith possession of a controlled substance. He is currently in the Tom Green County Jail in lieu of a $51,000 bond.
