Police Investigating Late Night Drive-by Shooting

 

MIDLAND, TX – Officers with the Midland Police Department are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred late Wednesday night.

According to CBS7, at 10:21 p.m. officers responded to a call at the 3600 block of West Wall Street for a gunshot victim.

Based on the investigation, police determined that the victim was traveling along Bankhead Highway when they thought their vehicle blew a tire. When the driver stopped on the roadway another driver drove past and began shooting.

The suspect shot at the victim's vehicle several times and hit the victim once. The victim was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.

No descriptions have been released of the suspect or their vehicle.
