Police: Alleged Beer Salt Turns Out To Be Meth

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – After fleeing a traffic stop on Monday night, Monica Garcia was stopped by the San Angelo Police Department K-9 Vader.

According to SAPD, Garcia attempted to jump a fence while running from the police. During a search of her purse officers located marijuana and a substance she claimed was “lemon-lime salt.”

After conducting a field test, the mystery substance tested positive for methamphetamine. Garcia was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Evading Arrest Detention and Possession of Marijuana. Garcia also had an MTR Warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1.

The 28-year-old is currently being held on a $1,500 bond at Tom Green County Jail.
