Police Find Man Badly Beaten in the Head

SAN ANGELO, TX — When police were called about gunshots ringing out off Grape Creek Rd. and 35th St. early Sunday afternoon just after 1 p.m., they were preparing for the worse. Over the radio, they heard that a man had been shot in the head but was walking down the street, alive.

When police arrived, they found a victim with “significant injuries to his head.” After rushing the victim to Shannon, the ER reported to police there was no gunshot wound. The victim is expected to survive, police said.

How the man was badly beaten is still a mystery to police. They said the victim is uncooperative and will not tell police what happened.

Police are searching the area for witnesses and a crime scene. As of 3 p.m. they have not discovered much.
