WATCH: Christmas Tragedy – SAPD Investigating Child Shooting

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Police are investigating a shooting early Saturday morning with reports that a child has been shot at a residence in the 700 block of San Jacinto St.

Scanner reports indicate police were called to a possible drive by shooting near the intersection of San Jacinto and Truman streets shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday morning.

Reporters on the scene say the victim, described as an 8-year-old child, was transported by ambulance to the hospital. 

Police at the scene say detectives are at the residence in east San Angelo investigating the shooting.  

No information is available at this time on the condition of the child or any possible suspects. 

SAPD officers say official information will be released later Saturday.
