Border Patrol Seizes $453,000 Worth of MethPress Release
LAREDO, TX – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 22 pounds of methamphetamine at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge with an estimated street value of more than $453,000.
According to a press release, agents sent a 2003 Ford Escape to secondary examination and after a canine and non-intrusive imaging inspection authorities located the meth. The driver of the vehicle was a 48-year-old female Mexican citizen who resides in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
The driver was arrested, and the case was turned over to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations (ICE-HSI) special agents for further investigation.
