Border Agents Discover 27 Illegal Aliens Smuggled in Tractor-Trailer

LAREDO, TX – U.S Border Patrol agents rescued 27 illegal aliens who were being smuggled inside a  black tractor-trailer hauling a white trailer at the Interstate 35 Border Patrol Checkpoint, north of Laredo.

According to a press release, at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 11, the tractor-trailer approached a primary inspection lane. After the driver, a U.S. Citizen, consented to a non-intrusive scan of the vehicle, agents discovered the illegals locked inside the trailer. They had no way to escape the trailer and the temperature inside the vehicle was 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The illegal aliens, 22 males, and 5 females were in the country illegally. They were from Guatemala, Ecuador, and Mexico.

The illegal aliens were all determined to be in good health and taken into custody along with the driver to be processed accordingly.
