TYE, TX – The Tye Police Department is issuing a “warning” about a new batch of methamphetamine that is contaminated.
According to a Facebook post published by the Tye PD, there is meth that can cause myonecrosis, a flesh-eating bacteria. Tye PD is encouraging individuals who have recently purchased meth to bring it into the police station to be tested with Nartec to “ensure the public’s safety.”
Chief Jay Strong said he got the idea after hearing about seven people dying from flesh-eating bacteria in San Diego after injecting a bad batch of black tar heroin.
