SAN ANGELO, TX -- A 28-Year-Old was indicted in November after informing troopers of a massive amount of weed located in his home.
According to court documents, on September 26, 2018, a special agent with the Texas Department of Public Safety was conducting an investigation about a large amount of marijuana that was being transported into San Angelo.
The investigation led the trooper to Patrick Reyna, 28, who allegedly was behind the "distribution in marijuana." The trooper spotted Reyna on the 26th run a stop sign and then quickly turned right without using a turn signal.
The trooper then pulled over Reyna and found him in possession of a large amount of marijuana. He was then booked into the Tom Green County Jail for possession of marijuana. During his stay, Reyna had a Post Mirandized interview with the Special Agent and he told them that at his residence he had about 10 pounds of marijuana, three guns, and a large amount of money.
This gave the DPS enough evidence to get a search warrant to search his residence. During the search, the troopers found 9.5 pounds of marijuana, a large amount of cash, and three guns including one that was stolen.
He is currently charged with possession of marijuana more than 5 lbs but less than 50 lbs.
