ABILENE, TX – Adam Joel Perez, 27, was murdered last night after a deadly drive-by shooting on the 1000 block of Cedar Street.
According to KTXS, at around 9:45 p.m. someone fired multiple shots from a car driving down the alley behind the home where Perez was located. Perez was hit when one of the bullets came through a wall. Several other people were inside the home, but no one else was injured.
Perez was taken to Hendrick Medical Center for treatment and pronounced dead before 11 p.m.
Police have not released a description of the vehicle and it may be possible they are looking for more than one suspect. Police said it’s unknown if the victim was targeted.
This is the fourth murder of the year in Abilene, according to APD.
