SAPD Warns Public of Scammers Pretending to be Them

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Police Department has sent out of a notice today regarding a current phone scam. 

According to the SAPD, there is currently a scam circulating where scammers claim they work for the SAPD. 

The scammers are claiming that they are raising money for the department. 

"If you engage the scammer in conversation, tell them you have already donated, hang up, then block the number." said the SAPD's Facebook.
