Registered Child Predator Arrested for Attempting to Entice a 10-Year-Old Boy

 

ODESSA, TX -- A registered sex offender was arrested today for trying to entice a 10-year-old boy. 

According to CBS7, on November 18, the Odessa Police Department received a tip that a man was inappropriately texting a 10-year-old boy. 

After further investigation, Police found that Curtis Presley, 50, had approached a 10-year-old boy and got the child's phone number. 

Presley texted the boy multiple times in attempts to meet up away from his parents where he could exchange "gifts for hugs."

OPD also discovered during the investigation that Presley is a registered sex offender. 

Presley has been charged with tampering with physical evidence, a 3rd degree felony, resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor, and enticing a child, a Class B misdemeanor.
