64-Year-Old Arrested After Accusations of Rape of a Young Boy

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A man was arrested yesterday for an indictment for aggravated sexual assault of a child. 

According to the indictment, in the July term of 2019, the 51st district court claims that Royce Payne, 64, sexually assault a child. 

The indictment comes from accusations of Payne intentionally and knowingly causing the penetration of a boy's, under the age of 14, mouth with his sexual organ. 

The act allegedly occurred on December 22, 2017. 

He was placed into the Tom Green County Jail on November 13 at 11:04 a.m. His bond was set at $25,000 and was released the same day at 3:28 p.m.
