Halloween Party Turns Scary When 4 People are Shot in Drive-By Shooting

SAN ANGELO, TX — Early this morning, gunfire was heard in the parking lot of Club El Patron, 1616 S. Chadbourne St., and four people were confirmed shot. The San Angelo Police Department issued a statement at approximately 5 a.m. confirming the injuries.

Club El Patron was the location for San Angelo's caged fight night promoter Anthony Camp's Halloween Party. His flier advertised music by El Thomas and a costume contest with cash prizes. Drink specials included 50-cent Fireballs, $1 wells, and $4 you-call-it well drinks. Last night's event was hosted by Camp, now known as "The Party Guy," with fliers presenting Camp's jail booking photo from his arrest at last week's fight night that police busted at the Koronazz venue on S. Jackson St.

There were no caged fights Halloween night as have on previous nights been promoted by Camp at Club El Patron. Camp was photographed last night dressed in Tom Green County prison garb as a Halloween costume being escorted by a friend dressed as a TABC officer.

Camp texted San Angelo LIVE! right after the incident at 3:15 a.m. this morning. "Just a heads up what just happened in the parking lot was not ppl from my function. please don't make it out like that."

San Angelo Police have been conducting a drive-by shooting investigation since the shooting early this morning. Police have characterized the incident a drive-by shooting. Persons of interest have been located and detained, police said. There were no jail bookings yet that appeared related to the incident as of 6 a.m. Friday morning.

According to a witness at the scene still there early this morning, as revelers were gathered outside the bar, a vehicle came out of no where driving through the parking lot. The vehicle's driver hit another car, then backed up and pulled forward to hit yet another parked car. People were startled, the witness said. Then someone in the vehicle opened fire on the crowd gathered in the parking lot.

"I don't think the driver of the vehicle was at the party here," the witness said, backing up Camp's assertion.

The witness didn't notice all who were injured, but did note that one person was shot in the leg and ran back into Club El Patron seeking first aid.

This silly fool Camp continues to create an environment for mayhem, but I wonder if little, sawed off Officer T was involved in the crime scene? Neh, this crime was too high profile for Baby T. He was probably calling for backup to issue an expired registration citation or accusing upstanding senior citizens of hiding illicit narcotics. Napoleonic Syndrome, much?

San Angelo needs more ppl like CAMP. I give props to the dude just trying to bring life to this lame place. Because honestly you k ow the crime has and will be here in this town. He cant help the dumbies in this place are what ruin it for the rest. Keep your vibe CAMP we need the spice.
