Police Search for Suspect in Connection to Double Homicide

 

PECOS, TX – The Texas Rangers are searching for Arturo Ortiz Gallegos in connection to a double homicide that occurred in Pecos Thursday night. 

According to CBS7, Gallegos was named as the suspect in a deadly shooting that left a man and a woman dead. A roommate of the female called police after she came home to find the two victims shot to death. Gallegos was last seen on foot at the 800 block of South Mesquite in Pecos. He is considered to be armed and dangerous, specifically in possession of a semi-automatic handgun.

Gallegos is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 210 pounds. He has an extensive collection of tattoos on his arms and neck, including the name “Rosa” under the rose on his neck and the letters “EME” on top of his left hand. He also has tattoos covering his entire scalp.

Gallegos has ties to the Midland, Odessa, and Lubbock areas and he may be attempting to flee the country.
