Police Arrest Man for Stabbing Couple Nine Times Outside Bar

ODESSA, TX -- A man was arrested Tuesday morning after police say he stabbed a couple outside of bar multiple times.

According to CBS 7, on October 22 at around 1:45 a.m., Officers with the Odessa Police Department were dispatched to the Medical Center Hospital for the report of stabbing.

When they arrived, they met with two victims who had been stabbed multiple times.

After further investigation, police determined that the couple were leaving a bar on the 500 block of North Grant. On the way to the car 27-year-old John Ramirez punched the couple and then stabbed them multiple times. The man was stabbed four times while the woman was stabbed five times.

After the assault, they were able to make it back into the bar where a friend transported them to the emergency room.

Officers found Ramirez at his home and detained him while a search warrant was completed. Ramirez was then charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
