TGCSO: Enraged Woman Bashes Windshield and Attacks Family Member with Saw Blade and Shotgun

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A Woman was arrested on Friday night after she stabbed a family member with a saw blade.

According to the affidavit signed by Justice of the Peace J.P. McGuire, on October 18, Deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic dispute on the 15000 block of Walnut Grove Road just outside of Carlsbad.

When deputies arrived, they found a scene that was wrecked by broken glass and blood. At the scene, deputies talked to Kourtney Woods, 22, and a man that was identified as a member of her family.

The affidavit states that Woods gave multiple "Res Gestae" statements that included her smashing in the windshield of the victim's truck and her stating she "stabbed" the victim with a saw blade.

During the investigation, Deputies say Woods took them to where the stabbing occurred and even pointed to the saw blade on the ground.

When deputies spoke to the victim, he told them that Woods put a shotgun to his head prior to stabbing him in the right forearm.

Woods was charged with aggravated assault to a family member with a weapon, criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired registration, and six MISC FTA.

She is currently in the Tom Green County Jail and her bond is set at $56,028.
