CHRISTOVAL, TX -- A Christoval Man was arrested on Tuesday after a child made an outcry of sexual assault.
According to the affidavit signed by Justice of the Peace Fred Buck, on October 1, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office arrested Cody Sears, 41, for indecency with a child by sexual contact.
The arrest came after a nine year old girl made an outcry the day before. She told deputies that the abuse started around November 15 of 2018 when she slept in the same bed as Sears.
She told them that while in the bed, Sears would put him hand under her pajamas and touch her privates above her panties.
The child told deputies that this happened on multiple occasions but three that she could distinctively remember. The child told an adult what was going on and she told the child to not sleep in the same bed as Sears.
The adult told police that she had spoken with Sears about the incident and told him not to sleep in the same bed as the child.
When Sears was asked about the accusations he told deputies that "he could not recall if the incidents occurred." He did say that he was confronted by the adult but denies any wrong doing. He also stated that he slept in the same bed as the child over fifty times in the past year.

Doesn't it feel great? Warehousing and caring for people who fondle our children, rob us or worse.
The concept and belief in "rehabilitating" criminals has proven to be an utter failure, specifically in this country. A systematic social cleansing program throughout our prisons would curb these incidents, but society would have to outgrow it's ingrained "love thy enemy" bullshit, put on their bog boy pants and start treating expendable, dangerous individuals accordingly.
Until then, we'll just have to find it within ourselves to be content with funding the upkeep and creature comforts of people who deserve nothing more than a bullet to the back of the skull.
