SAPD: Man Heaves Dog Off Second Story Balcony

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Police Department arrested a man on Sunday for throwing a dog off of a second story apartment building.

According to an affidavit signed by Justice of the Peace Susan Werner, on September 29, officers with the SAPD were dispatched to the River Pointe Apartment on the 1000 block of Rio Concho Circle for the report of an assault to a family member.

When they arrived they found a dog that was unconscious with the original victim of the assault on the side walk in front of the apartment.

The dog was quickly rushed to the Southside Animal Hospital for emergency surgery after the vet found blood in the dog's urine.

After further investigation police determined that Damont Williams, 28, had first assaulted the victim and then threw the dog off of the second story of their apartment.

Williams was arrested and charged with assault that caused bodily injury to a family member and cruelty to non-livestock animal by causing serious bodily injury.

He is currently still in the Tom Green County Jail and his bond is set at $12,500.

Nothing but a piece of low life trash! He'll probably get probation until he breaks it doing something even worse.

Just hurl him off of a two story building, and consider it a closed case. More mass = greater momentum, and subsequently a captivating experiment in basic physics.

I think we can derive from Newton's second law that 2 stories wouldn't be sufficient for this man to exhibit blood in his urine. Make it 3 or 4 and I'm with you.
