Serial Shooter Who Focuses on Broken Down Drivers Still At-Large

ODESSA, TX -- The Ector County Sheriff's Office is on the search for a serial shooter who has killed one and injured another.

According to CBS 7, on September 24, at around 12:45 a.m. the Ector County Sheriff's Office responded to shooting at 8th and Grant.

Then at 7:36 a.m. another shooting occurred at around 7:35 a.m. at I-20 and US Hwy 866. The third shooting happened that afternoon at Meteor Crater Road and I-20 near the Pilot truck stop, and then last night on Business 20.

ECSO says that the shooter pulled up to help a broken down vehicle and shot at the driver in all of the cases.

Out of the four shooting, one is dead, one is injured, and the other two survived.

The shooter used a handgun in all four shootings. The identity of the shooter varies in all of the instances so investigators don't have a complete description to share with the public.

Investigators say the suspect is driving a white pickup truck, possibly a 4-door. They can't confirm the make or model yet.

"Be vigilant, be aware of where you are," Sheriff Griffis said during a news conference. "This guy could be targeting people that are in a vulnerable situation."

This is coming just a few weeks after seven were shot and killed in a Mass Shooting. Here is the story: Victims of Odessa's Mass Shooting Identified.
