WANTED: Meth Dealer Escapes From Jail During ER Visit

COLEMAN, TX -- The Texas Rangers have been called in to search for an accused meth dealer who escaped from the Coleman County Jail.

According to KTXS, on September 19, deputies with the Coleman County Sheriff's Office arrested 48-year-old Mary Diane Abbas for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and bond forfeiture.

Abbas stayed in the Coleman County Jail until Tuesday when she told deputies that she was not feeling well. After the plea for help deputies took her to the Coleman County Medical Center for the night.

During the night, Abbas walked out of the ER, ditched the orange jumpsuit, and has not been seen since.

Abbas is 5' 3", with blue eyes, brunette hair and a tattoo on her left ankle.

Several law enforcement agencies are assisting in the search, including the Coleman Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, the Brown County Sheriff's Office, and the Texas Rangers.
