Lunch Time Crash Causes Traffic Backup in Front of H-E-B

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A lunch time crash in front of H-E-B today caused a traffic backup today. 

According to Office Polnick with the San Angelo Police Department, on September 23, he was dispatched to the 3100 block of West Avenue N for the report of a major motor vehicle accident involving two cars. 

When he arrived, he found a gray passenger car and a Chevy Equinox that was still in the roadway.

After investigating, the officer determined that both vehicles were traveling west on West Ave. N. The driver of the passenger car eventually failed to control the speed of the car causing it to crash into the Equinox. 

No injuries were reported at the scene. The driver of the passenger car was cited for failure to control speed. 

Traffic was held to a stand still for nearly thirty minutes but is now reopened.
