Husband Hospitalized After Wife Hits Him with a Pistol

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A woman was arrested on Thursday after police say she pistol whipped her husband. 

According to the Affidavit signed by Justice of the Peace J.P. McGuire, on September 19, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 block of Daniel St for a domestic disturbance where a female had struck a male with a pistol. 

When officers arrived, no one was at the residence. It was moments later that Police located the victim at Shannon. He drove himself there and was being treated for a large gash above him eye from where he had been hit. 

The victim told officers that after his wife hit him with a pistol she fled the scene. 

Police later located the woman and identified her as 37-year-old Lisa Clemons.

Clemons was located and transported to the CID interview room where a video/audio interview was conducted, stated the affidavit. During the interview Clemons admitted to striking the victim in the head one time with the pistol. 

Clemons was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on September 19 at 11:49 p.m. Her bond was set at $30,000 and was released at Sunday at 1:13 p.m.
