Man Wanted for Running Down Woman in Downtown San Angelo Arrested

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Police Department has captured the 21-year-old who ran down a woman in his car on Sunday morning. 

According to SAPD, on September 17, Officers with the San Angelo Police Department arrested 21-year-old Bentley Green after a warrant was put out for his arrest for running down a woman in downtown San Angelo. 

Green is accused of colliding with a 37-year-old San Angelo woman who was crossing South Chadbourne Street at East Twohig Avenue just before 12:20 a.m. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital with incapacitating injuries, including broken bones that will require surgery.

Green, who was driving a borrowed 2002 silver Mitsubishi Galant, reportedly fled the scene northbound on South Chadbourne at a high rate of speed following the collision.

He is currently in the Tom Green County Jail and is charged with accident involving serious bodily injury and seven MISC CPF at 10:52 a.m. 

His bond has not been set at this time.
