Authorities Asking Public for Help After Another Possible Mass-Shooter was Arrested

ODESSA, TX -- The Odessa Police Department is asking the public for help with stopping violence in the city by reporting any and all suspicious activity or threats.

The mass shooting that occurred on August 31 shook the entire state. Many people lost loved one and feared for many others. Since that day the OPD has begun cracking down in trying to make sure that a horrific incident would ever happen again.

Then according to CBS 7, on September 5, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Midland Police Department noticed a rumor circulating social media about a man who was going to shoot up a local Walmart.

The agencies quickly deescalated the situation by putting out a notice saying that it was all a "hoax." Later that day they arrested 28-year-old Issac Rodriquez from Lamesa, TX for terroristic threat after one of his co workers heard Rodriguez say he planned to shoot up a Midland Walmart.

During the arrested authorities found an AR-styled weapon in his car at work.

Remember if you see, hear, or feel that there is something suspicious going on around you or if you ever feel threatened call the police immediately.
