Fugitive on Stolen Bike Leads Cops on High Speed Chase on the Northside

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Police attempted to stop a fugitive on a stolen motorcycle near McDonald's on 6th and Bryant Streets Thursday afternoon but the rider fled up N. Bryant attempting to escape.

According to scanner reports, the motorcycle traveled at a high rate of speed from the intersection of N. Bryant and 6th St. to 14th St. where the fugitive turned left riding on the sidewalk at R.J.'s BBQ.  The bike then continued down 14th to Van Buren where the rider ditched the bike near Howard St. and Guadalupe St. according to reporters on the case.

It appears the motorcycle thief and rider is still at large.

There are no reports of injuries or crashes at this point.

Police have set up a crime scene around the stolen motorcycle.

This is a developing story.
