Public Intoxication Arrestee Released and Picked Back Up for Shoplifting in Front of Police Station

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Police Department arrested the same man twice yesterday.

According to the SAPD, on August 21, officers were dispatched to the Baymont Inn and Suites for the report of a suspicious subject.

When they arrived they found Stephen Bobholz, 45, who was intoxicated. He was arrested and placed into the Tom Green County Jail. Booking reports indicate that he was booked into the jail at 4:20 a.m. and was released at 7:28 a.m. in lieu of a $442 bond.

After he was released, Bobholz made it until around 2 p.m. This is when officers were dispatched to the food king, located across the street from the station, for the report of a shoplifter.

"Bobholz was apprehended by several officers who were, naturally, near the Police Station," said SAPD.

He was taken to jail and was released on August 22 at 4:28 a.m. His bond was set at $5,484.
