SCAM ALERT: Scammers Calling Saying They Are Police

 

ABILENE, TX -- The Abilene Police Department are warning people of a phone scam pretending to be them. 

According ot the APD, there is an individual or group of individuals who are calling people and saying they are police. 

"Please do not give out your information and do not fall for this scam!" Abilene Police said Saturday. "These scammers sound legitimate and may even have some of your information. Hang up immediately."

Remember if anyone you do not know calls you and ask for your information or money do not give it to them. Instead hang up the phone.
